Header Die & Tool is hiring CNC Lathe Machinists with Mazatrol or G- & M-code experience. At Header Die & Tool, we build high-precision tooling that supports customers across demanding industries. Our machinists play a critical role in delivering quality parts — safely, accurately, and on time.
What You’ll Do
- Read and interpret blueprints, tolerances, and specifications
- Set up and operate CNC lathes
- Use and modify Mazatrol and/or G- & M-code programs
- Monitor machines, adjust offsets, and maintain consistent quality
- Perform in-process inspections and document results
- Troubleshoot issues and communicate with leads and teammates
- Contribute ideas that improve processes, safety, and efficiency
- Maintain clean machines and organized work areas
- Follow safety and quality standards — and help improve them when needed
What You Bring
- Proven CNC lathe machining experience
- Ability to independently set up and run jobs
- Programming experience using Mazatrol or G- & M-code
- Blueprint reading and tolerance interpretation
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Willing to ask questions, share ideas, and take ownership
Experience with Mazak Integrex machines is a plus.

What We’re Looking For:
- Warehouse or Industrial background preferred
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Prompt and dependable attendance
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as a team
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality craftsmanship
Your Role:
- Design, fabricate, and repair precision tools, dies, and fixtures as per specifications
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tools and machinery
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities
- Promote and adhere to high standards of housekeeping and safety protocols
- Contribute to a clean and organized work environment
Physical Demands:
- Stand for extended periods of time, bend, and reach for tools, file, and other supplies
- Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects tools, and controls for extended periods of time
- Make repetitive motions for extended periods of time; and talk and hear
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds
- Must be able to see up close and at a distance, as well as use peripheral vision and depth perception
- Walking is required throughout the day
